Basic safety training
Collective

This course has been designed for personnel performing professional maritime tasks on civilian vessels, as well as those charged with safety tasks or pollution prevention tasks related to onboard operations.

Requirement: In order to complete the course, a statement signed by the student will be necessary, stating his ability to stay afloat in the water without a life jacket.

Goals

Train students to obtain the Certificate of basic Safety Training  according to amended STCW/ 78 Convention.

The Jovellanos Center is homologated by the DGMM Resolution of June 16, 2003.

Program

Survive at sea in the event of ship abandonment.

Fire prevention and fire fighting.

Elementary First Aid.

Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.

Duration

The course consists of 72 hours and it´s delivered over a period of  10 days.

Valid for 5 years
