This course has been designed for public and private fire-fighting services, emergency brigades and, in general, any person interested in learning advanced fire-fighting techniques applicable to indoor fires, to proceed with safety and efficacy.
Requirement: Prior knowledge is required on the use of the SCBA equipment, fire hoses and nozzles.
The training is eminently practical. By the end of the course, trainees will be capable of recognising the symptoms of a "flash over" before it occurs and apply the appropriate techniques to control this phenomenon.
Development of a fire and components of combustible gases.
Flammability. External effects and laboratory experiments.
The use of firefighting equipment for indoor fires.
Full size experiment on the development of an indoor fire, formation of a neutral plane, and distribution of gases and combustion products.
Organising fire-fighting units to tackle indoor fires.
Fire control & suppression techniques.
The course consists of 21 certified hours, it´s delivered over a period of 3 days.
