Personnel who perform or may perform duties involving the loading, unloading and handling of hydrocarbons in maritime and port environments: seaports, shipbuilding and ship repair yards, oil platforms, shipbreaking yards, oil waste reception facilities and any other maritime facilities located where Spain exercises sovereignty, sovereign rights or jurisdiction, whether the operations are carried out by fixed, mobile or floating means.

The Jovellanos Center is homologated by the DGMM Resolution of July 14, 2005.

The course provides trainees with knowledge on spill prevention, containment and collection systems, the appropriate equipment and its maintenance and repair, in order to provide the correct response to marine pollution situations, according to the basic structure established in contingency plans.
