This course has been designed for intermediate ranks and members of public or private fire-fighting services, members of emergency brigades in industrial facilities and people preparing public exams on issues related to fire-fighting.
Requirements: Skills in the use and handling of SCBA equipment and firefighting nozzles
Safely manage an emergency.
Properly implement emergency response procedures regarding petrochemical facilities, structural fires, and chemical emergencies.
Production plant fires, petrochemical fires.
Emergency command and control. Communications. ADR Code. Other codes. Fields of action. Decontamination station. Procedures.
Indoor firefighting procedures. Ventilation and procedures.
Practical training:
Extinguishing petrochemical fires. Fires in storage tanks and a four-level petrochemical complex.
Extinguishing fires in gas lines and pump houses.
Containment of spills of dangerous goods. Operations involving tank trucks. Extinguishing fires involving hazardous goods.
Indoor search and rescue procedures (looking for victims). Putting together an operational brigade. Using lifelines.
Extinguishing fires in dwellings and garages.
The course consists of 21 certified hours, it´s delivered over a period of 3 days.
