New controllers joining the Maritime Rescue service.
Goals
The course has been designed to provide initial training to plan and coordinate operations based on the response to emergencies at sea.
Program
Search and rescue system.
Communications.
SAR Planning.
English.
Computer applications for SAR operations.
SC, SMC, OSC, ACO functions.
SIMULATORS
Practical exercises will be performed on simulators: Communications based on the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) and Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS).
Duration
The course consists of 30 certified hours, it´s delivered over a period of 5 days.
